Giovanni Impellizzeri, 25, is accused of possessing and disseminating child pornography in addition to the counts pertaining to the purported food contamination, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.

Impellizzeri is charged with introducing urine, excrement, and saliva into the cafeteria of Elizabeth Moore School, contaminating food and kitchenware. Additionally, an affidavit of probable cause states that he poured bleach into a food container that was subsequently delivered to children “with the intention of harming the students.”

According to the prosecutor’s office, investigators were able to establish that the alleged offenses took place between October 26 and October 30.

On October 30, Upper Deerfield Township authorities reported several anonymous complaints about offensive postings made on social media by the school janitor to the New Jersey State Police.

The affidavit claims that Impellizzeri was sharing “very upsetting videos of himself while at work” on a Telegram chat thread. Social media postings that seemed to depict Impellizzeri “performing sexual acts with inanimate objects at the school” were examined by investigators, according to authorities.

Vineland resident Impellizzeri was detained last week. He is accused of severe assault, food product tampering, child welfare endangerment, attempted misbehavior, and official misconduct, according to the investigators. The Cumberland County Jail is where he is being detained.

The public defender’s office in Cumberland County did not immediately answer a phone on Wednesday night.

The allegation that he purposefully put bleach into a food container meant for kids, seemingly intending to hurt them, is much more concerning.
