Korea, South According to fire officials on Friday, a hotel fire in South Korea claimed seven lives and wounded twelve more.
The interior ministry said that the fire started on Thursday at around 7:40 p.m. (6:40 a.m. ET) on the eighth level of the nine-story hotel in Bucheon, which is located just west of Seoul, and was extinguished in approximately two hours.
According to Lee Sang-don, a Bucheon fire station officer, there were seven fatalities, the majority of which were visitors, and twelve injuries that required hospitalization, three of which were critical.
