The legendary former wide receiver Randy Moss revealed on Friday that he is battling cancer.
In an Instagram Live video, Moss, 47, stated that he is a cancer survivor and that the cancer was found in the bile duct, which is located between the liver and pancreas.
After six days in the hospital following surgery, Moss claimed he was discharged on Friday. In the video, his two boys accompanied him as he walked with a cane.
Moss remarked, “Your boy is a cancer survivor,” “Of course, there are difficult periods. However, we survived, and I’m grateful to everyone for that.”
Although he still needs to go through radiation and chemotherapy, Moss says he is getting better.

Moss thanked the “prayer warriors” who have been thinking about him, his family, his coworkers at ESPN, where he works as a football pundit, and the physicians and medical personnel in the video.
“I truly sensed all of the well wishes and prayers. That’s how my family felt,” he stated. “All you little Moss fans out there, I thank you,” he remarked, acknowledging that some of the people who sent him well wishes were kids. May you be blessed. It had a significant impact.
Earlier this month, Moss announced he would be taking “extended time” from his position at ESPN due to a “personal health challenge.” Moss first declared from the “Sunday NFL Countdown” set that he is dealing with an undisclosed medical condition and advised males to be especially mindful of health exams.
Moss referred viewers to his website during his announcement on Friday, where he would be offering cancer-related goods for sale. According to Moss, the majority of the money raised will support cancer research.
Using the tagline “Let’s Moss Cancer,” Moss shared it on social networking site X.

In recognition of the gifted wide receiver, the verb “moss” was created. It describes when a player crushes the defense and makes a fantastic catch, as Moss did during his career, and has grown in favor among football fans and commentators.
Moss’ most well-known tenure was with the Minnesota Vikings, who selected him with the 21st choice in the 1998 NFL Draft. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots in Super Bowls.
In 2018, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He has 156 touchdown receptions, which is second only to Jerry Rice’s 197. With 15,292 receiving yards, Moss is ranked fourth in the NFL.
